How do you spell relief?

Reading from Jan. 8, 2009
Gen.20-22; Luke 8

TOPIC: Omniscience

SCRIPTURE: "Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know, that in the integrity of your heart you have done this..." (Gen.20:6)

OBSERVATION: Abimelech had unknowingly taken a married woman to be his wife and was about to commit adultery. But God somehow prevented him from touching Sarah and held him back from sinning. What mercy on God's part! How many times has God done the same for us, holding us back from sin in ways we can't even detect? We have no way of knowing - we just know from this story that he can. God works just as often in ways we can't see as in ways we can.
[Life Application Study Bible]

APPLICATION: What a relief to know that God knows
That He actually knows
everything

Absolutely
Everything

About Me

That Reminds me of a great song
we've sung at church before

He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that fails
&
He hears me when I call
O yes, He hears me when I call

He knew all about Abimelech's integrity (20:6)
He knew all about Abraham's reverence (22:12)

He even knows all about you
&
your _____________
(you fill in the blank)

REST in that

I don't know about you
But I spell relief
With a capital HE
Space k n o w s

Which spells

HE knows

&

He's going to take care of it

PRAYER: Father God, thank you for including these stories in your word
