Gen. 6-8; Luke 3
TOPIC: Obedience
SCRIPTURE: "BUT Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God." (Gen.6:8-9)
OBSERVATION: Here we see our Heavenly Father expressing sorrow for what the people had done to themselves, as a parent might express sorrow over a child that has gone astray. God was sorry that the people chose sin and death instead of a intimate daily personal relationship with him. Noah, however, pleased God, although he was far from perfect. We can follow Noah's example and find "favor with the LORD" in spite of the sin that surrounds us.
[Life Application Study Bible]
APPLICATION: Noah was the primary follower of God left in his generation
He was a man of patience, consistency, and obedience
6:22 = Noah did according to all that God had commanded him
7:5 = Noah did according to ALL that the LORD had commanded him
7:9 = ...as God had commanded Noah.
7:16 = ...as God had commanded him...
Question: Did you notice what was repeated?

So
What can you learn from the life of Noah?
That when we make a choice to sin it grieves God
Every
