SCRIPTURE: "these men are ... holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these." (2 Tim.3:5)

OBSERVATION: Did you notice that list?
Lovers of Self
Lovers of Money
Boastful
Arrogant
Revilers
Disobedient to authority figures
Ungrateful
Unholy
Unloving
Irreconcilable
Malicious Gossips
Without Self-Control
Brutal
Haters of Good
Treacherous
Reckless
Conceited
Lovers of pleasure

It goes on to say that these men
Hold to a form of godliness
A Form
Even though they are holding to a form
they are denying its power

APPLICATION: I don't know about you
But as I read through that list
I can't help but think

GUILTY

Yep, at times
I am
Guilty as charged
of each
&
every
one
of
those
things

Am I holding to a form of Godliness?
Are you ?

Am I denying its power?
Are you ?

Am I to be avoided?
Are you?

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, search me and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
