TOPIC: Ambassador

SCRIPTURE: "...the church, which is HIS body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all." (Ephesians 1:22-23)

OBSERVATION: We are the body of Jesus Christ, that means he qualifies and commissions us to extend his life, love, and power in the same way and by the same power that he used to minister.

APPLICATION: As I was reading over this passage the song by Casting Crowns entitled "If We Are The Body" came to my mind. I felt like that is what I am suppose to share with you today.

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces

Why aren't His hands healing? (That's U & Me)

Why is His love not showing them there is a way?

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgemental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road
Jesus payed much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ
Jesus is the way

U R the body of Christ

Now allow the Holy Spirit of God
To live the life of Jesus THROUGH you

TODAY!

Because TODAY MATTERS!



PRAYER: Father God, thank you for inspiring Casting Crowns to sing this song that is such a great reminder to us all of who we are. Please help me to remember that as I go about my daily journey especially as I encounter those I do not know.
