TOPIC: Compassion for the Lost
SCRIPTURE: "In the presence of Christ, I speak with utter truthfulness - I do not lie - and my conscience and the Holy Spirit confirm that what I saying is true. My heart is filled with bitter sorrow and unending grief for my people, my Jewish brothers and sisters. I would be willing to be forever cursed - cut off from Christ! - if that would save them." (Romans 9:1-3)
OBSERVATION: In these verses we see deep down inside of the heart of Paul. His love for his people was absolutely amazing.
APPLICATION: I've read these verses many times over the years, and I am always stunned at Paul's words. They cut straight to the heart. So
Let's get right to it:
How TRULY concerned are you about those who don't know Jesus?
Are you REALLY willing to sacrifice everthing to see them come to faith in Jesus?
PROVE IT!
PRAYER: Father God, please break my heart and keep on breaking my heart for those people that do not have a personal relationship with you.
