A Eureka Moment

TOPIC: Discovery

SCRIPTURE: "When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parable, they understood that He speaking about them."
(Matthew 21:45)

OBSERVATION: Jesus was speaking to the chief priests and the Pharisees in parables. The first was the parable of the two sons and then the parable of the landowner. The main elements in the parable of the landowner are: the landowner is God, the vineyard is Israel, the tenant farmers are the Jewish religious leaders, the servants are the prophets and priest of old, the son is Jesus and the other tenants are the Gentiles. Jesus used this parable to expose the religious leader true motives.

APPLICATION: As I read through this passage the thing that jumped out at me was the phrase, "and
they understood that Jesus was referring to them".
Do you remember the last time that it dawned on you that, "Hey, God is actually speaking to me!"?

How did you respond?

Are you there now?

What is He saying to you?

Will you respond like the Pharisees?

OR

Will you humble yourself and repent?

The choice is yours

PRAYER: Father God, help me to always accept your corrective hand. Help me to always humble myself and maintain a repentant heart before you all the days of my life.
